About the Hub

The activities of the Kainuu Sports Hub are centered around two main players: KAMK and JYU-Vuokatti.

KAMK (Kajaani University of Applied Sciences)
The KAMK branch of the Kainuu Sports Hub specializes in integrating education with practical innovation to drive advancements in sports and well-being. Its focus areas include:

JYU-Vuokatti (University of Jyväskylä – Vuokatti Campus) JYU-Vuokatti at the Kainuu Sports Hub is dedicated to advancing sports science through rigorous education and research. Its main activities include:

Education:Cutting-edge programs in sport technology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and sport coaching equip students with the knowledge and skills to push the boundaries of sports performance.

R&D:Research focuses on the development and application of advanced measurement technologies and data analytics to optimize athletic performance, exploring innovative methods to improve training, recovery, and overall athletic outcomes.

JYU-Vuokatti serves as a hub for sports innovation, where education and research converge to drive the future of sports science.
