7. Innovative and sustainable sports
8. Gamification of urban sports
BESTRONG’s outdoor sports equipment is always presented on the international market in the form of combined sports park assemblies, which are conceptual responses to the customers’ needs.
The vision of “KATKER 2005” Ltd. is to educate people to lead a healthy lifestyle, to promote health preservation through the promotion of daily physical activity and the outdoor exercise experience. The equipment developed by our engineers reflects this vision in all cases, as our diverse range of products offers the opportunity to meet the amateur and even professional exercise needs of young, middle-aged and older people, but also innovative BESTRONG solutions for people with limited mobility
International research has clearly shown that in our digitalised world, sedentary office workers have significantly reduced physical activity. Sedentary work can have serious negative effects on our physical and mental health. According to a US survey, workers spend nearly 75% of their eight to nine-hour working day sitting in a chair, which is associated with a number of negative health risks

Identified risks include heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, circulatory problems, obesity, diabetes, early dementia, joint, spinal and other musculoskeletal problems, sleep problems and, last but not least, mental health problems.
An individual’s health complaints can also put employers at a disadvantage, as the chances of ill health increase, so absence from work can result in economic loss. An optimal solution to this problem is therefore an inherent need for both employers and employees, and thus in the interests of both parties.
BESTRONG sports equipment can provide an ideal solution to this problem:
– instead of a sweaty workout during short breaks in the working day, our combination of 5 to 6 tools offers a full-body workout in a few minutes
– the additional benefit of moving in the fresh air when placed outdoors, but the equipment can also be placed indoors if required
– no need to wear sportswear for exercise sessions, so short breaks between work can be fully occupied with exercise without changing clothes
– exercise stimulates blood circulation, so workers can start the next working period feeling refreshed
– the ideal positioning and number of equipment can make the sports park a real meeting point, making it an ideal team-building tool
– the courtyards, roof terraces of office buildings or shared green spaces in industrial parks can be ideal locations for sports parks
THEMATIC LINKS
The theme can be flexibly linked to several of the thematic priorities listed.
1. Emotional and physical health (reducing sedentary lifestyles)
There is a clear link, as the use of products can reduce the risks identified in the light of the research and other evidence cited above
2. Corporate games (fit tokens, fit coins)
3. Improving the work environment, products and technology to increase physical activity
The HR activities in the workplace would be greatly assisted if the development of a toolkit capable of reducing the health risks listed above could be complemented by a motivational tool for team building. Employees could be part of a company health promotion game, whereby they could be motivated to exercise during breaks by collecting fitness tokens and redeeming them for themed “gifts”.
POSSIBILITY OF COOPERATION ON THE THEME:
– developing workplace games using BESTRONG tools
– developing digitalisation to measure individual progress (sensors, apps, data collection, statistics, etc.)
