10–12 November, Eindhoven, the I3‑INSHAPE Project Final Event will mark a key milestone: bringing together SMEs, innovators, and stakeholders from across Europe and officially launching the INSHAPE Network of Innovation Hubs.

Set within the framework of the ELIS Innovation Summit, the event will build on the strong momentum of previous editions, which gathered, last year, more than 170 participants, 12 speakers, and 8 interactive workshops, creating valuable exchanges and countless new connections across the European sport and vitality ecosystem.

A Meeting Point for Innovation in Sport & Vitality

The Final Event will be more than a closing moment, it will be a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and future opportunities.

Participants can expect:

  • Inspiring talks and expert insights
  • Interactive sessions and workshops
  • Networking opportunities with SMEs, researchers, and innovation hubs
  • Showcases of innovative solutions developed within the I3‑INSHAPE project

The goal remains clear: to accelerate innovation that improves health, physical activity, and well‑being across Europe.

Why It Matters: Health, Innovation, and Society

Today, our health faces increasing challenges: sedentary lifestyles, rising obesity levels, and declining physical activity, trends that have been further intensified in recent years.

The ELIS Innovation Hub builds on a legacy that dates back to ancient Greece, where knowledge and collaboration were used to promote vitality and well-being, values that later inspired the Olympic Games.

Today, this vision continues through innovation. By connecting expertise, technologies, and real‑life applications, initiatives like I3‑INSHAPE contribute to social, sporting, and economic impact, helping shape a healthier and more active society.

Introducing the INSHAPE Network of Innovation Hubs

A key highlight of the event will be the official launch of the INSHAPE Network of Innovation Hubs.

This network represents a major step forward for the European sport & vitality ecosystem. It is designed as a self‑sustainable, interregional network that connects hubs, SMEs, researchers, and industry players across Europe.

What is the INSHAPE Network?
A collaborative platform where innovation is developed, tested, and scaled through real-life environments (Living Labs) and cross-border cooperation.

Why it is essential for SMEs:

  • Access to international markets and partnerships
  • Opportunities to test and validate solutions in real-world conditions
  • Support in scaling innovations faster and more efficiently
  • Connection to a European ecosystem of expertise, technology, and funding opportunities

In short, the network transforms isolated innovations into scalable European solutions, helping SMEs play a central role in tackling inactivity and improving public health.

Looking Ahead

The I3‑INSHAPE Final Event is not just the end of a project: it is the starting point of a long-term European collaboration.

By bringing together people, ideas, and innovation, and by officially launching the INSHAPE Network, the event will set the foundation for a stronger, more connected, and more impactful future for sport, vitality, and health across Europe.
