Challenges:
Active Spaces is a gamified wellness and sports platform that revitalises public spaces through modular training units, smart tracking, and community-driven challenges.
Led by North3 (Cube: modular infrastructure), Neorg (Connect: digital/data platform), and Black Smoke Studios (gamification), it boosts physical activity in cities and rural areas, especially where resources are limited.
Designed for all ages and fitness levels, it brings movement to parks, schools, and underserved zones, promoting inclusion and wellbeing. Its modular, scalable design enables replication in hospitals, clinics, schools, companies, and resorts—adapting content while maintaining a shared value: accessible, engaging, connected movement.
All content can be monitored or guided by professionals: in rural areas by sport and health experts, and in hospitals by doctors working with trainers. The system supports physical activity, social cohesion, digital inclusion, and local activation.
It addresses INSHAPE challenges in @Public Space and scales to @School, @Work, and @Sport. It contributes to UN SDGs 2030: Good Health & Wellbeing, Sustainable Cities, and Reduced Inequalities.
Each partner contributes a scalable pillar: North3 develops the physical infrastructure and fitness market know-how, Neorg leads the upgrade of Connect, and Black Smoke Studios enhances the gamified experience, ensuring a cohesive, adaptable ecosystem.
Deploy modular fitness units (North3 Cube) in open spaces that are adaptable, transportable, and inclusive for all ages and abilities.
Develop a digital platform (Connect by Neorg) to enable professionals to create and share training routines via smart displays or mobile devices, with real-time interaction and tracking.
Implement gamified strategies (by Black Smoke Studios) to engage users through storytelling, rewards, and community challenges.
Enable cross-sector replication in hospitals, schools, offices, resorts, and gyms, adapting content while keeping a unified value.
Ensure professional monitoring, with trainers, doctors, and health experts guiding activity in various settings.
